About me

KYLO1_edited.jpg

I was born and raised in Durban, where I've lived for 25 years, and this city has deeply influenced who I am today. Growing up here, I developed a love for various forms of entertainment that shaped my interests and hobbies. My first gaming console was a PlayStation 2, and it sparked a lifelong passion for gaming.

The console opened up a world of immersive experiences, and I became hooked on the virtual worlds and stories it offered. From action-packed adventures to strategy games, the PlayStation 2 was my gateway into gaming, and it's a love that’s only grown stronger over the years.

The first movie I ever watched in the cinema was Spider-Man (2002), which profoundly impacted me. The excitement of seeing a superhero come to life on the big screen, coupled with the groundbreaking visual effects, left an indelible mark. This movie not only ignited my passion for films but also influenced my creative interests. It was one of the earliest sparks that led me to explore visual storytelling in greater depth.

Over time, I found that both gaming and movies were more than just hobbies—they were mediums that encouraged me to create, design, and imagine new worlds. This led me to discover 3D modeling and animation, and I became fascinated by the process of crafting assets in Blender. The ability to take an idea and bring it to life in 3D has been both a rewarding and fulfilling creative outlet for me. As I continue to explore and improve my skills, I feel inspired by the very things that first captivated me: games, movies, and the limitless possibilities of digital creation.

Game Description

We formed a group to create a game for our university's game jam in just two days. The randomly selected genre was "summoning," which inspired our concept. In the game, players must summon objects to create platforms and survive. This unique challenge pushed us to blend creativity and strategy within a limited timeframe.

You play as Merlin, a mischievous wizard with a knack for pranks and a disregard for proper spellcasting. One of his reckless antics leads to his library catching fire, and now he must escape before it’s too late. Use your limited magical skills, solve puzzles, and outwit dangers as you try to save yourself from the fiery chaos.

Synopsis

The game artist was responsible for designing and creating all the visual assets, bringing the game’s world to life. Their work included character designs, environments, and various objects, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual experience throughout the game.
